The Dark
I love to listen to nature first thing in the morning as everything is waking up, but night time has an eerie quality about it, magnifying all sounds, especially bumps in the night!!
The Dark
The sky tonight is inky black and no stars, can I see
An eerie silence hangs in the air, as life it seems, did flee
My eyes do search to look beyond what seems to be the end
The garden wall holds back the night in case it’s just pretend
Then comfort comes to break the night, from a bullfrog in the park
A welcome sound that let’s me know, I’m not alone within the dark
