Golden Threads

This poem is the very first expression of my journey through rhyming poetry.  I remember just tapping into my Notes App the following three words – onwards, upwards, outwards with no particular thought or idea of where they would lead.  But very soon, after a few moments of savouring my coffee, the rest just flowed.

Golden Threads

Onwards, upwards, outwards, cast
Golden threads, of lives long past.
Searching shadows that are not there
Grasping nothing, that fills the air.
Brilliance and radiance return they must
Through thought of mind and heart of trust.
